Student of the month for September 2020!

Congratulations to Debbera Carson, our student of the month for September 2020! Debbera started training at CMAC in the summer of 1996! She started training to deal with the stress and lack of physical activity of graduate school at Duke! She has been training ever since! She now teaches Spanish at North Carolina State University! Debbera holds black belt ranks in karate(4th dan), jujitsu(5th dan), and kobudo(1st dan)! What Debbera likes most about the martial arts is the inner peace that it can generate after years of training! When not training or working she likes to read, drink coffee, and keep up with some Spanish TV series. She doesn’t have a favorite food, but there is a lot of food that she doesn’t like, such as carrots and shellfish! Debbera is one of the head instructors at CMAC and teaches classes whenever needed and every 3rd Monday of the month when we are on our regular schedule. She is the head jujitsu instructor for the Durham Shuri-te jujitsu program at CMAC!
