Demo for Mrs. Dais’ Kindergarten class at Hope Valley Elementary School on March 9th!

Thank you to Mrs. Dais and her kindergarten class at Hope Valley Elementary School for allowing Carolina Martial Arts Center to come into their classroom to give a presentation and demo on karate! All the kids said “ohayo(ohio)”, good morning in Japanese when I came into the classroom! We discussed our dojo pledge(morals of the dojo) and how it applies everywhere! Sensei did a kata demonstration(Bassai Dai) and taught a class on front kick, side kick, and downward blocks. All the kids got a chance to break a board with the side kick that they had learned and they all succeeded!!! What a great time we all had! Now all the kids call me Sensei instead of Mr. G. whenever they see me around school!
