Student of the month for March 2022!

Congratulations to Marc Mitzner, our student of the month for March 2022! Marc has been an active student at Carolina Martial Arts Center since April 2013! He is currently a sankyu brown belt training for his next level. Marc started training after his daughter, Eva, had been training for a while. Marc is 54 years old and works at Spoonflower printing wallpaper and fabric, and as a graphic designer and artist. He started martial arts as a kid because he was bullied & he loved martial arts movies, and came back to it later as a family activity. His favorite part of training is learning as much as he can so he can help teach and promote karate as a means of keeping up physical and mental health – self development. Outside of martial arts he enjoys drawing, taking photos, hockey, and rpg games. His favorite food is a well made pastrami sandwich on rye. Quote: “A great dojo is not necessarily a physical location, but the group of people who belong to that dojo. I am very fortunate to belong to an amazing dojo.” Marc is very active in all aspects of the dojo and has been an instructor in the children’s class for many years!
