Student of the month for November 2022!

Congratulations to Marley Stephens, our student of the month for November 2022! Marley started training at Carolina Martial Arts Center in September of 2022. Marley is just turning 12 years old and is home schooled where he is currently in the 5th grade. His favorite subject is P.E. and karate helps fulfill the P.E. requirement for home schooling. He got interested in karate after taking some martial arts in Germany where he used to live with his family. His favorite part of class is practicing basics such as blocks, kicks, and punches. Outside of class Marley enjoys doing crafts by recycling materials and making things out of them. Marley’s favorite food is a hotdog with mustard and onions! Marley says to “pay attention in class and do your best!” Marley’s dad also took karate from Gurganus Sensei in the late 1980’s. Marley is always training hard and is doing a great job working toward yellow belt.
