Student of the month for August 2024!

Congratulations to Ethan DeVoe, our student of the month for August 2024! He started training at CMAC in January of 2024! Ethan is eight years old and is in the 3rd grade at Hope Valley Elementary School where his favorite subject is Art! Ethan is a 9th kyu yellow belt and should be testing soon for his 8th kyu yellow belt! He became interested in trying martial arts after seeing a demonstration at Hope Valley Elementary(Multi-culture Night) and thought it was cool. His friend(Owen) who is a member at CMAC also influenced him to join! Ethan says that he chose CMAC because he already knew Gurganus Sensei from Hope Valley Elementary. Ethan’s favorite part of class is practicing kata. Outside of class Ethan enjoys soccer, video games, reading, and travel. His favorite food is pizza! Ethan’s advice to others is, “If you practice and get better, you can have more fun with karate.”! Ethan always has a very focused attitude when in class, great job Ethan!
