Kobudo training and testing!

Kobudo training and testing was conducted on Jan. 21st!  Bo basics were covered and kata review up through Yondan!  Those testing were Dave Henshall-shodan, Joe Kelly-nikyu, Carl Turner and Marc Mitzner-yonkyu!  Congratulations!!!

Master’s Memorial seminar and testing!

On Jan. 14th, the Master’s Memorial seminar was held!  Dojo from all over the world participate to celebrate Akamine, Eisuke Hanshi and other teachers who devoted themselves to teaching martial arts and who have passed away.  Jan. 14th is the actual day that Akamine passed away in 1999! ...

2016 AAU National Championships!

Congratulations to Nathan Henshall on his recent outstanding performance at the 2016 AAU National Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida!  Nathan won a bronze medal in kumite!   Time to get ready for next year, nationals may be in Raleigh, N.C. next year!

CMAC test in May!

Congratulations to everyone who tested May 19th!  Great test and we’re really proud of all the hard work and heart that has been put forth!  We have several new advanced green belts that have been training a long time to get to this point!  Well done everyone!  

2016 AAU Super Regional!

Congratulations to Nathan Henshall on his recent outstanding performances at the AAU Super Regional in Raleigh, N.C. on March 14th.  Nathan won gold in all three of his events!  Gold in kata, gold in kobudo, and gold in kumite!  On to the nationals.
